The 2008 HOT/Obedience and Youth Championshps will be held in Akron, Ohio. The area is served by a major airports and interstates. Nearby airports include Cleveland Hopkins (CLE) — a Continental hub, and Akron-Canton (CAK) — a busy AirTran hub. Major Interstate highways include I-77, I-76. Akron is about thirty miles south of I-80. The trial grounds is immediately adjacent to the Akron-Fulton (AKR) general aviation airport.
The stadium events will be held in the University of Akron Zips stadium. Locally known as the Rubber Bowl, it's an easy fifteen minute drive on I-76 from the host hotel in Wadsworth. Click here to learn more about the stadium location.
The 1 meter hurdle will be the yellow, portable Gappay type of obstacle.
The tracking will be on grass or hay fields. Tracking Flights will meet at host hotel parking lot and caravan from there to the tracking grounds. Tracking articles will be leather, wood and carpet. They will be the standard size.
Daily food service will be provided at the stadium facilities.
There will be ample parking for competitors and spectators.
