2008 USCA National Youth Competition

The Schutzhund USA Youth Committee believes that it is very important for youth to recognize their own potential early in their academic and athletic careers, and when a student is recognized for their accomplishments, it gives them confidence to pursue other goals. We are dedicated and committed to enhancing the lives of our youth and enriching their opportunities.

Youth competitors range in ages of 21 years or under.

The Youth Sport book provides encouragement for youth, who receive points for their participation in USCA events. The USCA Youth web page depicts the accomplishments of the youth participating in those events. When youth are asked why they participate in sports, they answer: To have fun, To improve their skills, To learn new skills, To be with their friends, To make new friends, To succeed or win, To become physically fit

The participation in a sport provides opportunities for leadership, socialization, and the development of skills for handling success and failure.

Schutzhund USA Youth Committee members are: Joey Bratt, Tony Gorgas , Craig Groh, James Honda, Lyle Roetemeyer. Hanna Axley youth liaison, and Alex Jacopino youth magazine section editor Giving back to our sport is the heart of our mission and principal that each volunteer subscribes to
